My Penguin 1.2 released!
Earlier today, the latest version of My Penguin was released to the Apple App Store. This update is the biggest yet and makes it a truly amazing mobile application. Why you ask? Well, we can now edit our own and visit other penguin’s igloos! That’s not all..we can also see and talk to other penguins. Speaking of penguins, they have a new, amazing 3D sprite design. The CP Team have spent the last YEAR working on converting every single item (plus special dances and other actions etc) into 3D. It looks..awesome, especially with the extra detail on every item. Check it out:
I honestly hope these new designs find themselves onto the full CP. Either that or My Penguin having the ability to play the full virtual world on the iPad. Also, remember that this app is currently exclusive to the iPad range (iPad 2+, though there are ways of installing the app on the unsupported iPad 1 – which is what I own). There will be an iPhone and Android version on the way soon so stay tuned!
Random CP Fact #09: Disney purchased Club Penguin for $350 million (and an extra $350 million if targets were met by 2009) in August 2007.
Until next time, Waddle on!
