June 2013: Monster’s University!

Greetings Penguins!

I decided to take a well earned break from the slow, harsh gameplay of Card-Jitsu Snow. Earning 24 rewards for 2 penguins is A LOT OF WORK, the glitches don’t help either. Anyways, earlier, Polo Field announced that we will be seeing 3 brand new parties this summer, taking us to new dimensions and places penguins have never seen before. So, what have we got to look forward to in June? Well, know we now!

As the title suggests, June’s party will be based upon the new Disney film, Monster’s University (prequal to Monster’s Inc). I guess this is what the school sketch that was shown from CP Summit was back in April. Want proof that Monster’s University will be the next party? Here you go!

Although only one image remains, we can blatantly see that it is a section of the flag found in the film. Want more proof? Fine! Just don’t make me play any more Card-Jitsu Snow. Please!

Want more proof? Tough! That’s all you’re getting. We can fully guarantee that the party will be based upon this latest Disney film. So all of you who thought you were in for a Disney-advertisement-free-summer-on-Club-Penguin best think again.

Anyway, I best get back to playing more Card-Jitsu Snow. I really can’t wait for this long long long long journey to finally be over. I have battled Tank, Scrap and Sly enough times I can remember their movements and annoying noises. Help.

Until next time, Waddle on!

Card-Jitsu Party: Critical First Impressions

Greetings Penguins!

UPDATE: Many of the major bugs that limited gameplay have now been fixed. However, the journey to becoming a Snow Ninja is incredibly long, earning all 24 rewards will take many, many hours. Patience and you shall be rewarded. NINJA VANISH!

The most highly anticipated party of 2013 is here! The Card-Jitsu party has begun and it’s great! Well, sort of. Firstly, there’s the non-member items. Like the last Card-Jitsu party, there are two elemental headbands (returning from last year) with the introduction of a new one – the snow headband. The rest of the items are for members. Sensei does have a new free background for everyone however.

Next, you’ll notice the Dojo Courtyard and Dojo interior has been completely redesigned. It looks brilliant in my opinion, though it’ll be sad to see the end of the Ninja Hideout (that was stupidly made for everyone, not just ninjas). The whole island is decorated, with each respective element (fire, snow and water) having their respective rooms.

The main point of this party is to introduce Card-Jitsu Snow. It’s very similar to how it was in beta testing, but everything has been coloured and looks amazing. However, the game itself isn’t, unfortunately. Instead, the game is filled with bugs, something in which should be fixed in a game that was publicly beta tested. Other than that, it’s a pretty good game, though very slow paced and takes a while to get even one item, nevermind 24. We do learn about Sensei’s backstory with his walrus friend Tusk which is interesting, though reminds me a lot of Kung Fu Panda’s narrative.

So overall the party seems good so far, everyone is able to join in the Card-Jitsu Snow game as it’s not members only. Remember, you can ONLY use power cards for this game!

Until next time, Good luck, Grasshoppers.

Club Penguin Summit – LOADS of sneak peeks!

Greetings Penguins!

Firstly, apologies for the delay (school work yet again). Anyway, CP recently held a real life event called Club Penguin Summit where they invited magazine writers and editors to visit the CP HQ in British Columbia, as well as showing them several presentations and sneak peeks!

First of all, a complete list of parties/events for the entire year was shown. As we can see, there are some old favourites returning and even some brand new parties!

You will notice that one of the monthly parties will be a Card-Jitsu Snow party! This will be held in May and will feature the release of the long awaited game. CP even showed how two rooms will look during the party.

Ski Mountain

Ski Village (notice that the EPF construction is complete?)

The completed Snow Dojo (I wish they put this version in the Beta test)

CP also showed a few sneak peeks from the upcoming Marvel Superhero Takeover. First up is a pic of the Cove during the party. The crane seen below will be used to pick up junk found in the polluted water.

It seems the Forest will be decorated with an Earth Day theme – it seriously wouldn’t surprise me if this version of the Forest will replace the current Forest.

The Plaza during the party.

Three superhero hoodies that will be available during the party. The white hoodie will apparently be a secret item.

There will be some sort of game during the party too – it is called Robot Factory. Here’s a sketch.

A sneak peek of a room that is believed to be called the School was also shown. Little is known about the School other than the sketch shown below. Will it be permanent? I don’t see the purpose of a school to be honest. What are penguins going to learn about, the anatomy of a puffle?

And so concludes the sneak peeks. Except for a couple more. Recently, Spike Hike has been posting on Twitter from his iPad and is believed to be testing an app called My Penguin. Here’s a sneak peek.

The board of Sushi is currently a mystery. Spike says we can collect pieces of Sushi, presumably by using this app in some way or another. I hope we can go on the full CP on mobile devices soon.

And so concludes the sneak peeks for today. In my opinion, the Card-Jitsu Snow party sounds like the highlight of the year as it’s new and the decorated rooms look great.

Until next time, Waddle on!

Card Jitsu Snow: Beta Hat!

Greetings Penguins!

As many will already know, the Card Jitsu beta test has being happening for a while now and it has become fairly successful in terms of players online. Well, as of today, you can now earn the official Card Jitsu Snow BETA HAT!

BUT, how do you get it? Those who have tested before (Beta testing CP, CPIP testing etc) should know that items were automatically added to the penguin’s accounts after testing was over. However, this times different. To earn the hat now, you must log into the beta test ( and play the game. The more you play, the more % you will gain to receiving the item. If you get to the bonus round, you will instantly receive the item on your real penguin (not your beta test penguin that has no clothes/name etc).

Once you log into your normal penguin account, simply search through your inventory until you find the Card Jitsu Snow beta hat! It’s as simple as that! (hah, a rhyme). Here is how it looks on Jimbobson:

This is one of my personal fave items CP has ever released. I love the party hats already, but with the snowflakes CP added it makes it even more interesting; definitely a soon-to-be-VERY-rare item! I may even wear it instead of my CPIP red hard hat…for a while.

UPDATE: The Snow Beta Hat and Card-Jitsu Snow beta test are both now unavailable. The game will be released in May during a special Card-Jitsu Snow party.

Until next time, Waddle on!

Card Jitsu Snow Beta Test to be released today!

Greetings Penguins!

UPDATE: The link is now LIVE! Though at the moment all I’m getting is the “Download Flash Player” screen. Try for yourself!!

Possibly the biggest even in years is soon to take place on CP. That’s right, the Card Jitsu Snow game will be available to beta test; TODAY! Spike Hike has recently posted a link on Twitter and basically told us to check it later today (or tomorrow if you’re like me and in the UK). The link can be found below.

Currently the link doesn’t work and simply loads for a while until the problem loading page appears (depending on your web browser). As soon as CP launches the beta test live, the website will work and we will be able to register for testing. Simple as that!

Now lets see what other updates CP has added today:

  • Comic Relief event: Go to the Coffee Shop to pick up a free Red Nose for your penguin – they can be found at the recently built jokes corner (I wonder if this will be a permanent addition?
  • Construction for the re-building of the EPF has begun! Grab a orange mining helmet (if you haven’t got one from the Mine Cave, or the other construction events CP has held throughout the years) and get helping!
  • Hollywood party has ended (finally), yay.
  • Puffle Party coming soon: A Puffle Hotel will be built for the party, along with a cannon that will fire penguins from the Hotel roof to a cloud inhabited by Rainbow Puffles! (Note: The Puffle Hotel will be a permanent addition to CP).
  • Quest for the Golden Puffle has returned to the Stage: Possibly due to the Puffle-themed month coming up.

Anyway, be sure to keep checking the beta link I posted earlier! And if you haven’t already, check all of the updates CP has added today. They will also be releasing a Red Nose Day themed pin and background soon. For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a charity based here in the UK. Why is CP focusing on it and not other events such as St. Patrick’s Day you may ask? This is a charity, CP gets media attention if they donate to charity (meaning money).

Until next time, Waddle on!

New CP Video: ????

Greetings Penguins!

CP recently released a new video on their Youtube channel. Entitled ‘????’, it sounds very mysterious. Lets take a look.

So, this very short video shows us a nameless ninja wandering around, what looks to be a mountain area which the Snow Dojo will be. However, this area is obviously in very early stages of planning (hence the green arrows to indicate a link to a new area and the fact the whole room is a handrawn sketch). Does this mean we will be beta testing a game that is in the very early stages of development? Or will CP have developed this idea by then..

In other news: I have gone and added a BRAND NEW page to CPF (something I haven’t done since 2007/8)! That’s right, a brand new page! (and all the others have been updated in some way). So what is this page? Well, as promised, I have created a page about memes (Club Penguin Memes). Be sure to check it out and perhaps even submit your own.

Until next time, Waddle on!

New Puffle to come in March!

Greetings Penguins!

For several years, CP has held the Puffle Party in March, replacing the old St. Patrick’s Day party. With most Puffle parties come the introduction of a new puffle, yet we haven’t seen a new addition since the Brown Puffle. However, 2013 will feature the introduction of a brand new puffle, but what could it be?

In CP’s latest animated video promoting the Hollywood party (sigh..), a few penguins with eagle-eyes have spotted this within the video:

There is a penguin wearing a “I love my puffle” shirt! But the puffle on the shirt (and the shirt itself) is rainbow! Could we soon be adopting the long awaited rainbow puffle? Well, I think there will be more to this puffle than simply its multi-coloured fur. In the latest issue of Club Penguin Magazine, PH talks about chameleons and how they can change the colour of their skin. This could possibly mean that the new puffle we see is actually a chameleon-like puffle that can somehow change its colour!

In other news: I e-mailed CP support regarding the Card Jitsu Snow Beta test. The staff member explained that this beta testing will take place on the Beta Team (probably similar to the new chat feature testing we did a while back, where I met Happy77 for the first time!).

Also, to celebrate a double Field Friday today, here’s a meme I created earlier. Happy Friday everyone!

Until next time, Waddle on!

Meeting Aunt Arctic (and Rsnail’s reply!)

Greetings Penguins!

As the end of the superhero takeover nears, so does the chance to meet a mascot that is quite hard to find (and her stamp is considered extreme!). After a while of searching, I managed to spot Aunt Arctic in the Book Room in the (English) server Yeti!

Of course, the main part of meeting a mascot is receiving their exclusive background! For this party, AA brought a background that is city-themed (and so will not return until the next superhero takeover). Here it is on Jim:

If you are having trouble finding her, try visit each and every popular server (she, like all other mascots, also visit servers in the other languages) and switch between them every 5 minutes or so. You can also stay in one server until she appears, though her appearance is not guaranteed.

In other news: Rsnail replied to by question regarding if CP was too violent due to the introduction of the Mavel superheroes and villains. Well, here is my question followed by his reply:

So this goes to show that even the co-founder (and initial creator) of CP doesn’t think that this party is too violent! And for those who are complaining about this party, wait until you hear about the Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam! party which will literally, turn CP into a Disney dance party. Get ready for more dance moves, penguins!

Until next time, Waddle on!

Super exclusive: Card Jitsu Snow!

Yo Penguins!

As many of you had guessed, I had stopped updating about CP and the recent happenings, though I do continue to play. Although I will not update EVERYTHING, I will be updating exclusive stuff and even coin code/membership giveaways!

Anyways, it appears that images have been leaked of the upcoming Card Jitsu Snow collector’s tin! It also shows an image of how the Snow Ninja will look on CP!

Notice how it also explains that CP will be bringing out a new Card Jitsu mobile app, as well as animated shorts on the Disney Channel! Sounds like CP will be receiving even more money!

Be sure to stay tuned on both this site, and punkrockerz site for a series of coin code and membership giveaways!

Until next time, Waddle on!

Bat Pin (And some risk taking penguins!)

Yo Penguins!

Apologies for the day delay in updates, anyways here they are.

First of all, a new pin has been released to the island. It is a Bat and can be found at the Cove!

Next up, you may be wondering what I meant by ‘risk taking penguins’. We all know that a Storm is arriving to CP, so what should we NOT do? Go swimming! And what do these penguins visible in the binoculars at the Cove do? Water Sports!

(Those penguins better watch out, the storms coming close!)

Many penguins have noticed that each year since November 08, something has happened regarding Ninjas, it looks like 2010 will be no exception. Even the CPT seems to be all focused on Ninjas, and don’t forget, Gary said that the storm will last longer than previous years, going on even after the Halloween party- leading to Card Jitsu Water/Snow!

I can’t wait for this years Halloween, or Anniversary on Sunday of course. I wonder what colour the party hat will be? My guess remains green and yellow!

Until next time, Waddle on!
